This qualitative study is an action research conducted by the cooperation of an instructor and a first grade teacher who was supervised by a student of the instructor taking “Classroom Management in Inclusive Classes” course. The research was undertaken in a first grade classroom of 30 students in a state primary school in Eskisehir. Since students were in the first grade, they had some difficulties arising from staying away from their parents for certain periods of time and getting accustomed to an environment with specific rules and responsibilities. Regular observations of class, interviews with teacher, students and parents, sociometric evaluations and portfolio reviews were conducted for gathering information about classroom issues. Findings revealed that through action research process the classroom teacher was able to present more competent behaviors in controlling classroom events, used effective classroom management techniques more frequently and obtained more positive results.
