Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationships between high school students’ time management
skills and their state- trait anxiety levels and if time management varies according to age and gender factors. The
sample group of the study consists of 505 high school students who were studying in different state schools in
the city of Bursa. The two inventories used in the study are the Time Management Inventory and State and Trait
Anxiety Inventory. The relationships between time management and state trait anxiety were analyzed with
Pearson correlation coefficient while one side variance analysis was used to investigate if time management
varies according to age and t test was employed to analyze whether or not time management varies according to
gender. The results showed that there are significant relationships between the anxiety and time management
scores, and time management does not vary according to age but it varies according to gender
