Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the principles of andragogy from the perspective of the porang farmer community as a new agricultural commodity for farmer groups. Grounded Theory is a type of research with a qualitative approach that is used with a focus on obtaining an abstract analytical scheme from the learning process of porang farmer groups as adult learners. The subjects in this study were a
group of porang farmers in Bulu Village, Pilang Kenceng District, Madiun Regency - Indonesia. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, documentation and literature study of previous research. The results of this study indicate; adult learners have a learning orientation that is relevant to the problem, have a more mature and diverse concept and readiness for learning, have knowledge and experience as teaching and learning capital, have internal motivation and need external motivation, need respect and appreciation in learning, need a representative learning situation , safe and comfortable. Adult learners will also be more effective and optimal in their learning if there is certainty of learning outcomes.
