Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the interpersonal problem solving skills
training on the adolescents’ constructive problem-solving skills and the level of trait anger. Pre-test posttest
control group experimental research design was used. There were 13 subjects in the experiment group and 15
subjects in the control group. For the collection of data the Interpersonal Problem Solving Inventory and Trait
Anger Scale were used. Mann Whitney U test was conducted to find the differences between the scores of the
groups. The results showed that interpersonal problem solving skills training increased the level of the
constructive problem solving skills of the adolescents in the experiment group and reduced the level of trait
anger significantly
