Abstract

The purpose of this research is to show which elements of Turkish culture are aiming to transfer to the new generations of the Turkish Culture and Civilization History Education Program of the High School Education and to show how these goals are culturally important and to what extent the program has applied to the multiple learning environments in order to reach this aim. In this study, the data were obtained from the qualitative research methods based on the document review. In order to obtain the data, the High School Education Turkish Culture and Civilization History Teaching Program updated in 2017 was used as a data source. The obtained data is presented by the content analysis technique. As a result of the analysis of the data, it has been seen that the concept of culture transfer includes the general and special purposes, values, achievements, competences, values of the program. Concerning cultural transfer, it has been determined that the program covers specific areas and that concrete cultural elements are not included in the concrete cultural elements. Under the heading of learning and teaching, it has been shown that the use of technological elements in the processing of the program is emphasized. Suggestions were made in the frame of the findings.
