Analysis on Gifted Children’s Coping With Anger and Decision Making Skills Based on Various

The purpose of this study is to examine gifted children’s abilities of coping with anger and decision making skills with regards to various variables in the Science and Arts Centers (BILSEM). The screening (descriptive) model was used in the study. The sample of the study consisted of 276 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students studying in three different Science and Arts Centers in Istanbul. The Scale for Gifted Children’s Coping with Anger and Decision Making Skills and the Personal Interview Form developed by Ersoy and Deniz (2015) were used in the study. The data was analyzed through the SPSS 22.0 statistical software. According to results, gifted children’s coping with anger and decision making skills dimensions do not differ significantly according to the educational status of the parents, number of siblings, income level, parents’ being alive and their marital status; however, the dimensions differed significantly for the
gender variable.
