Abstract

The aim of the study is to develop a scale about the self-efficacy perceptions of graduate students
concerning the method used in their research. The study group of the research was 277 students who were
Educational Sciences graduate majors in Hacettepe University in 2012-2013 education year. The exploratory factor
analysis showed that the scale had two factors and 28 items. When the items in factors were reexamined it has
seemed that items in factor one were related to at the time of analysis and after the analysis processes, and the
items in factor two were related to before the analysis process. Therefore, items in factor one and two are named
as “at the time of analysis and after the analysis processes” and “before the analysis process” respectively. Its
Cronbach Alpha coefficients was found to be 0.96. The scale will make it possible to uncover self-efficacy of
graduate students.
