Thematic Review of Some Studies About the Stars in Turkey

Abstract

The aim of this study was to reflect the integrity of studies about the star concept by analysing
domestic-sourced studies and raise awareness in this sense. This paper was restricted only with the 39
research studies that are about stars between the years 2001-2014. Therefore, the studies had a thematic
analysis in accordance with the questions. Document analysis used in this research. All studies were analysed
using the matrix. As a result of research, it has been reached that stars took place under the astronomy topic
and the number of published studies showed an increase from 2010, the samples are concentrated in certain
provinces. It was determined that the method is more diversity, multiple-choice achievement tests is used
maximum as a data collection tool, f/percent/ arithmetic average statistics are used commonly as the analysis
method. The findings obtained from studies usually written on qualifications expressed alternative ideas. It is
devoted to expressing signs of learning difficulties related to the stars in other studies. Results of the studies
generally achieved that star subjects are not known sufficiently. There have been suggestions in the review of
studies, most of them for both groups
